Seriously in love with these cute kids… Could they be any more photogenic?

It is always fun to meet a new family out here visiting beautiful Scottsdale for a family reunion.  This family was no exception…  Hope you all had a wonderful week of sun and fun in our gorgeous city!

When you try to get a nice family hug and bring this in just a bit closer…

You end up with my favorite image of the whole day!  LOL!  Reminds me so much of my two boys at this age!  Actually, let’s be real – reminds me of my two boys always.

My Kate and I were spoiled and got to fly back to Ashville to photograph a great family and their grandmother’s 90th birthday celebration here at the Biltmore Estate.

Here’s the gorgeous Inn on the property that we stayed and where the birthday celebration took place…

And believe it or not, this is the birthday girl, Grace, at 90 years young, and her 99 year old brother!  AMAZING!  I still can’t get over 90!  I definitely want to know her secret!

Some details from the birthday celebration:

I was lucky enough to fly back to NYC on 9/11 to photograph these two lovebirds!  It was fun to get to know their story, experience just a taste of their favorite spots and city, and hear more about how wedding plans are progressing.

One of my favorite moments of the day – we just happened upon this spot just 20 minutes before the towers were lit for the 9/11 memorial that night.  It gave me goosebumps to be there in person, and I’m so happy that we were able to capture this image as well.

For some people, it is love at first sight… this may be the case – although “first sight” was about 4 years before the “first date” actually occurred.  But that’s all it took – one date and the rest, well they say, is history.

I really enjoyed my time in San Francisco, seeing all of the sights that had special significance to Mel and Noah.

I had the best time getting to know Rachel and Scott just a little bit better.  We got to visit some of their favorite spots around town (all centered around great food & drinks).  For sure, I need to venture out of my 4 mile radius and come explore some of these great eats.  Rachel has promised that she won’t work her wedding, but somehow, I think she is going to find a way to bring in a little bit of her talent to personalize her wedding.  She is the owner of Pistol Whipped Pastry and I think I gain weight just following her feed of deliciousness on instagram!  I am looking forward to their wedding this fall for sure!
