Brett and Bryan celebrated their marriage at the beautiful Four Seasons in North Scottsdale on May 4, 2013. It was a beautiful day and full of gorgeous details, family, and friends. A big thanks to our amazing team – Andrea and Tara – for capturing stunning images.
It has been so fun getting to know Jenn and Mike over this last year as they have planned their wedding at Copperwynd in Fountain Hills.
Jenn and Mike met at ASU as freshman. Jenn says, “I had moved into town a few months before and was in my first semester of college. I had two classes with Mike and saw him one day as he turned around and I thought he was pretty cute. I thought he was a jerk on that first meeting! But we talked for 20 minutes, and we would have these little run-ins from time to tine after that, adn I said yes when he asked me out on a date. our first date was the worst movie ever – “The Sixth Day” with Arnold Schwarzenger and we made fun of it the entire time. Fast forward 10 years, and we are still together and still joking all the time. Mike makes me laugh like no other person does, he’s just so witty and thinks fast on his feet. I admire him because he always remembers people’s names and I have to ask him for it whenever we are out!”
Jenn describes her wedding as organic, intimate, and elegant. Her wedding dress was a big surprise, even to her! She didn’t think she wanted a big poofy dress, but fell in love with it as soon as she found it. And I have to agree… it is just perfect for her! Jenn, you are a beautiful bride and I am so happy to have been a part of yours and Michael’s day!
I have been looking forward to this wedding for almost a year now! Lindsey’s sister, Melanie got married last year (364 days before) and we were able to celebrate with this fabulous family once again this year!
Charlee and the team at Signature Events as well as Natalie and her team at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge all did a fabulous job with the details of this wedding. Thank you to Jill for assisting and capturing some of these great images!
Congrats to Ray and Nichole on their wedding here in Mesa, AZ. I was thrilled to be able to capture this day for them. It was fun to get to know the two of them. I hadn’t met either before the wedding, but found out we had many connections… small world! Enjoy – it was a gorgeous day. I just love when an image really makes you feel what the day was like, and these images just scream SPRING, cool air, and light breezes!
A big thanks to assistant photographer, Melissa Smith for helping capture some of these great images.
Congrats to Nadine and Jonathan on their marriage at Sassi in North Scottsdale. It was a gorgeous day and so much fun to be around them and their family. Nadine is a gorgeous bride, but had tough competition with little Jon Jon during the ceremony. I think he almost stole the show!
First look… my favorite time during the whole day!
Probably one of my favorite catches of the whole night… great job to my assistant, Melissa for getting this next one!
Yup… truly a kid friendly evening! Love this:
We are super excited to deliver another gorgeous album to a great couple, Kelly and Brent. Take a look at the final pagespreads the couple decided to include in their 12×12 leather-bound album.
Even during the rainest day of the year, people were pouring into Sassi‘s open house on Sunday. I was soooo impressed with everyone that came out to visit during the terrible weather. I for one would have had a hard time getting out of my pj’s and slippers to walk around in the cold wet mess, but these brides are troopers! Seriously dedicated and just so happy and kind to talk to! Love that the rain couldn’t damper their spirits. These are the kind of people I hope to work with this next year!
Here’s a small snapshot of what bride’s saw when they came to Sassi. All efforts to get some great images of all the vendor’s amazing talents were thwarted as people rushed in early and we moved into every available spot of cover, but it still turned out amazing!

Janea and Franco met when they were 6. They grew up on the same street and re-met again in 2010 and hadn’t seen each other in 14 years!
Janea chose orange and turquoise as her colors and loved to find homemade, creative items to compliment those colors. She was most excited about the flowers. She wanted tons and tons of flowers. Elegance, roses, and lots of big arrangements were really important.
Amy Wallace helped her create the perfect invitation and many paper products she was looking for to personalize her wedding. Another huge hit was the special dances that were performed. Dancing is a huge part of their lives, so it was fun to see this incorporated into the wedding.
Janea’s advice for planning a wedding: Don’t stress. Pay good money for food and photographer – it is worth it! She is grateful for the help from her friends, especially Gina Schroeder!
